Description

Key chain made up of two brass coins sandwiched together and holding a small knife, scissors and nail file, all curved. Engraved on one coin is "Central Vermont Public Service" with its logo and below that, - - EMERGENCY RECOVERY AWARD -- 2007 - 2008 - 2010 - 2011" Engraved on the other coin, "TROPICAL STORM IRENE/ 2011" with a scene of electrical workers in action. Attached to bottom of coins is a heavy chain and a key ring. Maker is Northwest Territorial Mint.

Context

The Emergency Recovery Award was given to Central Vermont Public Service, now part of Green Mountain Power, for "outstanding efforst to restore service promptly to the public following a storm or natural disaster" in the wake of Tropical Storm Irene.
