Description

Purple satin pants with white elastic waistband and 12-inch side zipper. The pants are unlined, and the seam allowances are pinked. The side opening secures above the zipper with a hook and eye.

Context

Worn by Roy Nicholson during the 1969 UVM Kake Walk, an annual fundraising performance in which fraternities performed in black face. Roy and his partner were the only performers to wear no makeup that year.
