Small rectangular tin case. The interior of the case has 6 metal tines, shaped to hold cylindrical vials. One cylindrical glass vial is present and filled with yellow powder (sealed with cork). A paper label on the vial reads, "20 Hypodermic tablets No. 70 Strychnine Sulphas".
Use
While strychnine is highly toxic, it was historically used as as a stimulant in the treatment of various conditions such as respiratory depression, nervous system disorders, and digestive issues.
