Pewter teapot with lid. The lid is attached to the pot with a hinge, and has a central finial shaped like a flower. The handle is made of ebony. The spout is formed into the shape of an acanthus leaf, as are the feet. The body is in eight gores, and is wider at the top than the bottom. The bottom is stamped with the mark, "5 / ROSWELL GLEASON / 4900".Context
