Description

Metal eggbeater with wooden grip and turning handle. The eggbeater has two whisks or beaters that turn with a cranked central wheel. The beaters have a round shaped with 4 curved steel blades attached to a single post in the center. The drive wheel has a series of openings pierced around the edge. One side of the wheel is stamped with the label, "EDLUND COMPANY / BURLINGTON, VT. / PATENT NO. 1789224 - OTHER PAT. PENDING / MADE IN THE U.S.A."

Made by the Edlund Company in Burlington, Vermont. Given as a wedding shower gift to Marie F. Forehan by her mother in 1949.
