Description

Ornate, silver-plated cream pitcher with attached, hinged lid. The pitcher sits on a round pedestal, and the body is engraved with the inscription, "Presented to SURG. C.B. PARK JR. by the Enlisted Men of the 16th Vt. Vols." The handle is molded into a design of baroque leaves, as is the base of the spout.

Context

Presented to Castanus Blake Park by the members of the 16th Vermont Volunteers to commemorate his work as surgeon for the regiment during the Civil War.
