Small, rectangular sampler of silk on linen. The sampler consists of an alphabet (capital marking letters), the numbers 1-9, the inscription "OLIVE LAUGHTONS", another alphabet (lowercase marking letters), capital alternates, and the inscription, "Made by Olive Laughton Sampler in the Eleven year".
