Blue ribbon printed in gold with an image of a man in 17th century clothing (Samuel de Champlain) and the inscription, "CHAMPLAIN VALLEY EXPOSITION ESSEX JUNCTION VERMONT AUG. 26 - 31 1940". The top of the ribbon is attached to a gold-framed name tag that reads, "DIRECTOR", and has a pin on the back.
