Description

Commemorative medal consisting of two parts. The upper part is backed with a pin and is a round medallion with an enameled cross behind it. The medallion shows an eagle flying with a United States flag and the words, "IN GOD WE TRUST". Another round medallion hangs from it and shows a bust of a man with the words, "ADMIRAL GEO. DEWE U.S.N." The back of the lower medallion has a picture of a warship and the words, "U.S. BATTLESHIP MAINE".
