Description

Green glass bottle. The hand-blown bottle has a bulbous body that tapers into a long neck. There is a ride roll of glass at the opening, and the base of the bottle turns inward. The neck leans to one side. It is sealed with a cork, and the neck is tied with a string (both said to be original).

Context

This rum bottle is said to have hung above Captain Daniel Cady's bunk during the Revolutionary War (the letter never says Revolutionary War)
