Description

Oak cane with a curved handle. The bottom end of the can is fitted with a metal tip. There is an embossed metal band encircling where the handle meets the stick.

Context

Made from the keel of "The Congress" flag ship of Benedict Arnold, in his last naval battle with the British on Lake Champlain, Oct. 13, 1776.
