Rectangular wooden compass. The wooden case has a rectangular window in the face with inset glass through which a metal rod can be seen. A corresponding degree chart is etched in a semicircle on the the face of the case. One side has a brass knob handle for opening. The reverse an applied wooden bar with a hole drilled into the center for mounting the compass onto a stand.
