Pair of white linen pillowcases. The pillowcases have a machine-made lace edging that has been hand sewn on, as well as a hand-sewn flat-felled or welt seam on the long edge. There is brown ink in cursive writing that states "Abigail Spear, Braintree, Vt., No. 8", as well as some hand-drawn leaves and vines. On the back of each pillowcase, there is embroidery in silk thread that reads "Abigail Spear", along with embroidered leaves on a vine.Context
