White-bodied ceramic waste bowl. The body is faceted, flares outward at the rim, and sits on a short, round pedestal. The outside of the body is decorated with molded floral sprigs painted with purple luster.

Used during tea service to receive the cold tea from a cup before pouring a new, hot cup.
