Description

Blue coverall-style flight suit. The suit has a Peter Pan collar and secures up the center front with a metal zipper that runs from the in-seam to the neckline. There are zippered pockets at each breast, on the left sleeve, both hips, both thighs, and both shins. The waistline is slightly adjustable with buttoned tabs and the ankles can be closed tightly with a short zipper.

Context

Worn by Edwin Loren Little of Poultney, Vermont, during World War II, when he flew his B-17 bomber, which he named the Green Mountain Rambler.
