Hand-cut mylar stencil. The stencil is made of opaque mylar and is hand-cut with the words, "2024 / SOLAR / ECLIPSE / NEK VT" over a round sun covered by the moon. The numbers and letters are cut so the stencil can be used in reverse to stamp reading accurately on other surfaces.Context
Allen Yale collaborated with fellow Derby, VT, resident and potter Roseanna Cyr of Hopewell Studio, to create a small collection of items commemorating the 2024 Solar Eclipse for Derby and Northeast Kingdom residents. Proceeds of the sales went to the First Universalist Church of Derby Line, Vermont. Allen made the stencil and carved the stamp.Acquisition
