Name/Title

"Aus den chor = Gestuhle des Münsters zu Ulm"

Entry/Object ID

1880.019

Description

This work is of the famous Choir Stalls at Münsters zu Elm in Germany, and shows one section from different angles, several side elevations and from above. It is signed Joh. Wolf which probably indicates Br. Cosmas drew this before entering the monastery in 1853, confirming that Br. Cosmas was an artist before coming to Saint Vincent. Other writing on the drawing are "Durchschnitt nach der Linie A.M." (Average along the line A.M.), "Aufriss" (Elevation) and "Grundriss des ganzer Chor Gestuhles" (Sketch of the whole choir stalls).
