Note
Verostko, wanting to play with the idea of imaging the unseen, created a series of paintings he called “Eikon,” a term coming from the Greek word “εἰκών” (transliterated as “eikon”), meaning “likeness” or “image.” In these paintings, he used abstraction and spontaneity to bring forth the unconscious self. In contrast to this idea, the colors were carefully chosen to reflect a connection to the imagination and the relationship between colors.
