Description
More than 90% of the drawings in the Pitassi archive were made by Leo Pitassi, whose accomplishment as a draftsman is dazzling. He used deft strokes of charcoal and gouache on brown wrapping paper or white tracing paper to form images that burst with energy. His elegant, attenuated figures fill the spaces within decorative borders, posed in graceful movements evocative of dance.
