Description

This is a reproduction of a 16th century engraving of the flight of the Holy Family to Egypt. The Holy Family fled into Egypt, when Jesus was an infant, where they found a haven for almost four years fearing the persecution of King Herod. Mary riding on the back of a donkey and holding infant Jesus bundled up. Joseph is walking along side of them and holding on the reins of the donkey. In the background in the village they are fleeing and soldiers going up to a farmer. This is 1 out of 2 of the same print.
