Sidney Janis Gallery, New York, produced these 4 color screenprint images as part of a publication that accompanied the gallery’s 1964 exhibition of forty “Homage to the Square” paintings by Albers—the renowned abstract artist who taught at the Bauhaus and at Yale. Albers legendary studies of color—including how it appears to change and even vibrate in juxtaposition with other hues—made a lasting impression on Verostko, who had these prints framed and carefully annotated the back with their date and place of purchase: “Sidney Janis Gallery, 9-28-1964".Created By
