Saint Leo's Church 876 W. Fourth St. Winston-Salem, N.C. Aug 2/28 Mr. A. L. Pitassi My Dear Mr. Pitassi, In my letter today, I thought only of the mistake in the nave of the isle window and did not tell you how much I liked the windows. They are very beautiful and I am well satisfied with them. The B.V.M side altar window is the most beautiful window I ever saw. Now you are making the St. Joseph window for the other side altar. I hope that will be as good. The name on the St. Joseph's window at the bottom is K. of C. Piedmont Council 939 [page 2] Just those words, don't put donated. Just put the inscription K. of C. Piedmont Council 939 - - - - - - - - - - - I want you to make another side window. This is the 5th one ordered. 3 are in, one is to come shortly & this one I am ordering now. I will give you the name with in a week. I haven't it yet, but begin to make it & try and have this & St. Joseph's ready in three weeks. Please try & fix the wrong name on this windows here. It must be Frances Payne Darr Yours Sincerely F Jerome Finn [page 3] Aug 2/28 Mr. A.L. Pitassi My Dear Sir, The three side windows and the B.V.M windows are here. You made a big mistake in the name of one of the side windows. This name should be In memory of Frances Payne Darr, and you have on the window Francis Darr Payne. No i in Francis it must be an e, she is a woman. Her last name is Darr & middle name Payne. So the panel must [page 4] be Frances Payne Darr, and you will have to correct the mistake and put it correct. I would rather have this name panel right than any other. So send some instructions on how to fix it. The window is in, but the lower port must come out and the name corrected. Now for future windows if you have any doubt about the name plate please ask me & get it correct Let me hear at once from you. Yours F Jerome Finn
