Dear Mr. Pitassi,
Well I had every-
thing set to put in the windows
today. Had three men to layoff
any other work & work for me
mon. tues. & wed. get any windows
in. They came this morning
Early. Good weather all & when
we opened the big box not one of
the connecting iron rods was
there. We can not put the windows
in with out them, the bar between
each section. You forgot to send
them: Why some one in your shop
has not discovered them & sent
them I don't know. Now I must
take a chance on bad weather etc &
probably pay these men for the
these two days which I promised
them this work & told them to accept
no other job for these days.
[page 2]
I am right upset about it be-
cause if there is one thing that
I can not stand is unreliability
& down right carelessness & some
one in your shop is too careless
to be there. I do not mean yourself
of course, but you left this packing
to some one else & failed to put
in the iron bars. It will perhaps
cost me dollars for this carelessness.
Also Mr. Pitassi please send
me your bill for the two windows
as I said I am not handling any
money in this but the attorney will
receive your bill after I verify it
& send you the check.
Send me a bill for 2 windows
Each $400 = $800 I will pay the freight. I
will let your know what extra I must
pay for this delay of the bars, telegraphy
express etc, but please send the bars
Yours F Jerome FinnTranscriber
