Provenance

Notes

Collected By: Saint Vincent College Fifteen Versions of this work were shown at Manchester University, England, in 1998, the 50th anniversary of the "Baby" computer developed by Alan Turing. The text for this version of a Universal Turing Machine (UTM) is quoted from Roger Penrose's book, "The Emperor's New Clothes." This code embodies the logic of Alan Turing's 1936 paper on "Computable Numbers", a seminal work contributing to the circuit logic of general computers. Roman Celebrates this code as an important, authoritative, text of the 20th century.
