Description

This is a reproduction of a 16th century engraving of Quo Vadis, which means where are you going. Saint Peter was fleeing persecution in Rome. When he left the city he met Jesus and Saint Peter asked him "Quo Vadis?" Jesus replied that he was going into Rome to get crucified again. Peter took this as meaning he needs to go back into Rome and get crucified for Jesus. There is said to be footprints that remained behind from where Jesus was standing. In this picture you can only see the feet of Jesus as he ascends back into heaven with rays coming from his body. On the mound in the center are footprints that had been left from him. Then the mound is surrounded by people kneeling and praying. Peter is the man in the right center of the crowd. This is 3 out of 4 of the same print.
