Gode Kraemer, retired curator from the Albertiner in Vienna, believes this is by Franz Hess Peter but curiously in his email the birth and death years match Franz Kobell (1749-1822). Christof Metzger of the Albertiner believes the work is by Franz Kobell. Because Kobell was working in Munich as a court painter and Wimmer was collecting art in Munich, the Kobell attribution is being used.
