This appears to be a rectory with a housekeepers suite in the back: a private parlor all the way in the back with a staircase to an upper level bedroom over what would be the kitchen and which does not have access to the the rest of the bedrooms on the second story. In signature "gem." is German abbreviation for "Gemacht" (made). This was a signature abbreviation Br. Cosmas used mostly in the 1880s.Artwork Details
