This is a reproduction of a 16th century engraving of St. Stephen the Deacon. He was the very first martyr of the Church Age, stoned to death by the Jews, including Saul (the future St. Paul). The second day of Christmas is the Feast of St. Stephen, the First Deacon. Saint Stephen is in the center holding a stone in his left had and a book in his right.
