“Letter for an Architect from a Monk about Monasteries,” December 16, 1963.
On January 28, 1963—the legendary “night of fire and ice”—a fire broke out in a biology laboratory at Saint Vincent College and spread to destroy five buildings and damage two others. Roman Verostko wrote this letter, summarizing his deep thinking about the spiritual and material needs of the monastery, before the architect was selected.Collection
