Radio ShackDescription
The TRS-80 Mini Disk is a smaller version of a floppy disk designed for the TRS-80 microcomputers. These disks are 5.25 inches in size (considered “small” compared to the 8-inch disks commonly used on larger systems at the time). The number 0 disk can hold approximately 58,800 bytes of file space, and each additional disk provides 83,060 bytes of file storage.General Notes
Note
To use the TRS-80 Mini Disk, you need a 16K Level II BASIC TRS-80 microcomputer or a modified 16K Level I BASIC TRS-80 microcomputer. Additionally, the TRS-80 Expansion Interface is required (available under different part numbers), which provides additional RAM. The 26-1160B Disk Drive comes with a ribbon interconnect cable and termination resistors. In a multi-drive system, the 1160B unit should be furthest from the computer end of the cable, while additional Disk Drives should be of the 1161B type without termination resistors.
