The TRS-80 Telephone Interface II was a full “originate/answer” acoustic coupler designed for the TRS-80 microcomputers. It allowed two TRS-80s to communicate over telephone lines. You could also connect to other computers with “originate only” capability. The device acted as an interface between the TRS-80 and the telephone line, enabling data transfer.General Notes

It was released with the TRS-80 Model II introduced in May 1979, and deliveries began in October of the same year.
