Open Air Dance Hall - 1922 #14 Walking Tour Was located on the South West corner Sandhill and 1st North #14 on the walking tour. Open Air Dance Hall, Circa 1922 61 North Sandhill Blvd. In the early 1920's, the main thoroughfare between Bunkerville and St. George passed by this location. In 1922, Jack and Alf Hardy built a garage with an open air dance hall above the garage. A partial wall and railing about 4-5 feet tall encircled the wooden dance floor. The space was also used for roller skating. Dancing was a favorite form of recreation for all ages in the community - everyone came. The town had its own orchestra with a sax, drums, trombone, and piano. It was a local tradition to play "Good Night Ladies" at closing time.
