A quilt that was made by Rose Ann Linge Knight for her husband, Samuel Carlos Knight, circa 1898. Rose and Carlos were some of the early settlers of Mesquite and were married on March 10, 1892. Rose recounted in her memoirs that the two met and fell in love while she was working on his dad's peach farm. Rose made this quilt from her husband's discarded overalls and gave it to him as a present for when he went into the mountains to collect lumber.
