Limoges chinaware dish found at "Richmont," the home of Mr. Henry H. Windsor of Chicago at the turn of the century and now owned by the McLeans. The home overlooks Lake Megunticook.
This plate has the following stamped on the back: "Haviland, France. The Madeleine. Haviland & Co. J McD & S co. Limoges."
The J McD & S co could mean Jones, McDuffee and Stratton (1871-1960), a Boston importer of china. The maker's mark "Haviland, France" was used by Haviland from 1894-1931.Collection
