Description

A photograph of a group of people in summer wear, outdoors. Perry is on the left, seated. Millay is third from left, in dark jacket. A note in pen on the back reads: "August 13, 1913 The Perry Picnic George Perry and Edna St. Vincent Millay. This was the last time George was on Great Spruce Head Island. The Porters (Eliot Porter) had just purchased it." Another copy of this photograph with notes attributed to George Perry (Jeff Conrad Collection) suggests the photographer was Langdon Jones, and also provides the names of some of the people in the photograph.
