WHC 2012.20Scope and Content
Blue 3-ring binder of photocopied research materials relating to the genealogy of Job Tyler (1619-1700). His descendant Simeon Tyler (1754-1840) was born in Boxford, MA the son of Nathaniel and Sara (Wood) Tyler. Simeon joined the Revolutionary War as a Minuteman in 1776 and served through 1778. He married Hannah Merrill Wright and had seven children: Abel, Hannah, Rhoda, Simeon, Dudley, Samuel, and Coburn. Simeon the elder moved to Camden and purchased 100 acres of land (Lot #27) of Fales' Survey from William Walter of Boston for $800. It is thought that his family resided in what is now known as the Conway House on the town line of Camden and Rockport.Collection
