A compilation of the records of the births, marriages and deaths in Searsport prior to 1892, copied from microfilms of those records and verified when necessary against original records. Penobscot County marriage records were also abstracted that related to Searsport residents. Records were also copied from the Republican Journal, from church records and from the militia list of 1863.
