Diary written by John Lymburner Locke (1832-1876), Camden resident, historian, and author of "Sketches of the History of the Town of Camden, Maine" published in 1859. Locke was a resident of Belfast, Maine until October 1854, when he moved his watch and jewelry business to Camden. Diary covers period from July 13, 1854 to August 16, 1855. Writing is very descriptive and details his daily life and travels between Belfast and surrounding areas such as Camden, Waldoboro, Bucksport, Bangor, and Rockland.
