Handwritten inscription on the back, by Jeff Conrad:
Ruth Rhoads Lepper was a Maine artist, designer, and map maker who knew Carroll Thayer Berry of Wiscasset & Rockport, Maine during the 40's through the 70's.
When my parents, William G. Conrad and Rebecca Gene Farmer Conrad started a tearoom in their local bookstore -- the Owl and The Turtle, Inc. -- we knew of Ruth's lovely depiction of "Maine Writers."
My parents used this framed "map" of pre-1980 Maine writers in our store's tea room.
I am delighted to give the Camden Public Library this framed map. I hope many readers will be inspired and educated by it.
