WILLIAM MOLINEUX DEED TO SIMON BARRETT REGARDING THE SALE OF LAND IN TOWNSHIP OF BARRETTSTOWN COUNTY, MAINE DATED SEPTEMBER 11, 1794 Transcription of the original document that was given to the Walsh History Center of Camden Public Library by William B. Merrill, August 2018 Wm. Molineaux to Simon Barrett Rec Sep.9.1795 paid [End of cover] Know all Men by these Presents; That I William Molineux of Camden in the County of Lincoln & State of Massachusetts Merchant in Consideration of One Hundred pounds and Sixteen shillings lawful Money, paid by Simon Barrett - Yeoman, of the same Town & County the Receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge, do hereby give, grant, sell and convey unto the said Simon Barrett & to his hiers & assigns forever a Certain Lott land in the Township of Barrettstown County & State aforesaid containing One Hundred & Sixty eight Acres, & Numbered 115 in Noah Millers Survey_bounded Northwardly on Rubin Barretts Lott Eastwardly on Nathe Hosmer's Lott Southwardly on Johnston's Lott & Westwardly on Simon Barretts Lott together with all the privileges & Appurtenances whatsoever_ TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same to the said Simon Barrett and to his Heirs and Assigns, to his & their Use and Behoof forever, his Heirs and Assign, That I am lawfully seized in Fee of the Premises, That they are free of all Incumbrances. That I have good Right to sell and convey the same to the said Simon Barrett aforesaid _ And that I will warrant and defend the same to the said Simon Barrett his Heirs and Assigns, forever, against the lawful Claims and Demands of all Persons. In Witness whereof I the said William Molineux together with Mary my wife in token of her relinquishment of her Right of Dower we have hereunto Sett our hands and Seal this 21 day of July 1794 Attested Elisha Gibbs W Molineux Job Hodgman Mary Molineux Lincoln ss September 11, 1794 THEN the above-named William Molineux personally appeared, and acknowledge this Instrument to be his free Deed.
