Merrill, August 2018 Bill of Sale Simon Barrett to Ephraim Barrett ~~ Ephm Barrett ~~ Ephariam ~~ maine 23 456 of 4 EEE [End of cover] Know all Men by these Presents that I Simon Barrett of Hope in the County of Lincoln & State of Massachusetts Yeoman, for & in consideration of Eighty one Dollars to me in hand paid by Ephn Barrett of Camden in the County aforesaid & State Yeoman at or before the sealing and delivering of these presents, the receipt whereof, I the said Simon Barrett do hereby acknowledge, have granted bargained, & sell, unto the said Ephraim Barrett his Executors, administration, and assigns, four stacks of hay containing nine tons, which said Hay is now remaining standing and being in a certain [hole in document] or tennents situated in sd Hope & now in the occupation of the said Simon Barrett, To have & to hold all said hay above bargained & sold to the sd Ephraim Barrett his heirs Executors administrator and assigns forever and I the sd Simon Barrett for myself my heirs executors and administrator, do warrant & defend the sd, hay unto the said Ephraim Barrett his heirs executors administrators and assigns against me the said Simon Barrett my heirs executors administrators and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever will warrant and for ever defend -- inwitness whereof I have unto set my hand & seal this six day of Dec. in year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & four Signed Sealed in Simon Barrett Presence of us Calvin Crane Jonathan Willson [End of page 1] Transcribed 4 September 2018 by Jane M.
