RE 1/8 THE MOLLINEUX MILL PRIVILEGE AND MILLS, CAMDEN DATED SEPTEMBER 12, 1889 Transcription of the original document that was given to the Walsh History Center of Camden Public Library by William B. Merrill, August 2018 Deed R. K. Thayer To Thorndike Scott & Co. [End of cover] Know all Men by these Presents, that I Rebecca K. Thayer of Camden in the County of Waldo and State of Maine single woman in consideration of two hundred & fifty dollars paid by James W. Scott, George Thorndike Bisbee and James Richards all of said Camden copartners doing business in said Camden under the stile of Thorndike Scott & Co. the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge, do hereby give, grant, sell and convey unto the said Thorndike Scott & Co their heirs and assigned one undivided eighth part of the Molineux Mill privilege (so called) situated in said Camden at the foot of Molineux Pond with the mills thereon; and bounded as follows, to wit, beginning on the Easterly side of the pond at the notch in the rocks above the grist mill; Thence south twenty six and one half degrees East twenty seven rods to a stakes & stones, Thence South eighty five degrees West eight rods,-Thence South seventy two west twenty six rods to a stakes & stones Thence North Thirty six West twenty eight rods to the pond; Thence running in said direction as will take in the small island which divides the mill privilege so that same shall be a part of the premises conveyed_also such part of the right title and interest I have to the mill site & privilege below the bridge and road, and between the lodges on each side, together with such part of all the buildings on the premises & such part of the machinery and gearing therein. To have and to hold the aforegranted premises, to the said Thorndike Scott & Co to their use and benefit forever-And I do covenant with the said Thorndike Scott & Co. their heirs and assigns, that I am lawfully seized in fee of the premises; that they are free of all encumbrances; that I have a good right to sell and convey the same to, the said Thorndike Scott & Co-And that I will warrant and defend the same to the said Thorndike Scott & Co their heirs and assigns against the lawful claims and demands of all persons. In witness whereof, I the said Rebecca K. Thayer have hereunto set my hand and seal this twelfth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty nine. Rebecca K.
