FRANCES A. BARRETT DEED TO WILLIAM G. BARRETT FOR SALE OF LAND IN CAMDEN DATED AUGUST 2, 1859 Transcription of the original document that was given to the Walsh History Center of Camden Public Library by William B. Merrill, August 2018 Q Deed F. A. Barrett to Wm G. Barrett Chestnut St House [End of cover] Know all Men by these Presents, that I Francis A. Barrett of Camden in the County of Waldo and State of Maine in consideration of four hundred dollars to me paid by William F. Barrett of said Camden the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge, do hereby remise, release, bargain, sell, and convey and forever quit-claim unto the said Wm. G Barrett his Heirs and Assigns forever; all my right, title, and interest in and to certain real estate situated in said Camden, bounded as follows to wit Southwesterly by land of Nathan Brown, Westerly by land of heirs of Sarah Parkman, Northwesterly by land of Arethusa D Porter and northeasterly by land of said Nathan Brown & heirs of late Shubal Mayo containing three acres by the same more of less. Being a part of Lot No 29 Fales Survey and the same which was conveyed by Shubal Mayo to Lucy Barrett. Jan 3d, 1829, and by the Executor of the will of Said Lucy to me by deed dated Aug 19, 1839. To have and to hold to same, together with all the privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging to the said William G. Barrett his Heirs and Assigns, forever. And I do covenant with the said W. G. Barrett his Heirs and Assigns, that I will warrant and forever defend the Premises, to him the said W.G. Barrett his Heirs and Assigns forever, against the lawful claims and demands of all persons claiming by. through, or under me. In witness whereof I the said Francis A. Barrett, and I Agnes Barrett wife of said F.A. Barrett in token of relinquishment of claims in the premises have hereunto set our hands & seals this twenty second day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty nine Signed, sealed, and delivered | in presence of Hiram Bass F. A. Barrett Sarah A.H. Barrett Agnes Barrett Waldo ss. August 1859 Personally appeared the above-named Francis A. Barrett and acknowledged the above instrument to be his free act and deed.
