Know all Men by these Presents, That I; William E. Thorndike of Camden, County of Knox, State of Maine, in consideration of Four hundred seventy five dollars paid by Sarah P. Wheeler of said Camden, Maine, the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge, do hereby give, grant, bargain, sell and convey, unto the said Sarah P. Wheeler, her Heirs and Assigns forever, a certain lot or parcel of land situated in said Camden, westerly of Chestnut St. bounded and described as follows: - Beginning at an iron bolt in southerly line of land of T. R. Simonton at north west corner of land formerly of Mary J. Conant, now owned by R. L. Cross; thence S.17 ½ ° E. nine rods and three links to iron bolt to line of land formerly of W.G. Barrett, now owned by said Thorndike; thence S. 78° along line of said Thorndikes land twenty one rods and twenty links to line of land of the Baptist Church Society of said Camden; thence N. 5° E. along line of land of said Society and land of Kate and Ellen Hall eleven rods and fourteen links to iron bolt to line of land of J.F. Hosmer estate; thence N. 84° E along line of land of said estate and land of Marcia Benson, Marion Paine, E.H. Young and T.R. Simonton nineteen rods and seven links to the place of beginning. Also another lot or parcel of land situated in said Camden, bounded and described as follows:- Beginning at an iron bolt in southern line of Union Place (the street running westerly from Chestnut St along northern line of land of T.R. Simonton) fifteen feet and four inches westerly of the corner of the old Coburn Tyler house; thence S. 17 ½ ° E. forty two and one half feet to iron bolt; thence easterly along line of first described lot twenty three and one half feet to iron bolt; thence northerly along said Tylers line eight feet to corner of wood house; thence westerly two feet eleven inches to corner of porch; thence northerly by porch eighteen feet three inches to corner; thence westerly by house six feet four inches to corner; thence northerly as said house runs sixteen feet nine inches to line of said Union Place; thence westerly as said Place runs fifteen feet and four inches to place of beginning excepting a right of way two feet wide along the western side of Coburn Tyler house and porch as granted to said Marcia Benson by said Sarah P. Wheeler.

To have and to hold the aforegranted and bargained premises, with all the privileges and appurtenances thereof, to the said Sarah Wheeler her Heirs and Assigns, to their use and behoof forever.
And I do covenant with the said Grantee, her Heirs and Assigns, that I am lawfully seized in fee of the premises; that they are free of all incumbrances; that I have good right to sell and convey the same to the said Grantee to hold as aforesaid; and that I and my heirs, shall and will Warrant and Defend the same to the said Grantee, her Heirs and Assigns forever, against the lawful claims and demands of all persons.
Provided Nevertheless, That if the said Wm H Thorndike his Heirs, Executors or Administrators pay to the said Sarah P. Wheeler, her Heirs, Executors or Administrators or Assigns, the sum of Four hundred seventy five dollars - $475- on or before six years from the day of the date hereof, with interest on said sum at the rate of six per centum per annum, during said term and for

such further time as said principal sum or any part thereof shall remain unpaid, payable annually, then this Deed, as also one certain promissory note bearing even date with these presents, given by the said Wm H. Thorndike to the said Sarah P. Wheeler to pay the sum and interest at the time aforesaid, shall be void, otherwise shall remain in full force.
In witness whereof, I the Grantor in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight.
