"USGS Topographical Map Series 1955 is superimposed on the Twenty Associates PLAN OF THE TOWN OF CAMBDEN, Dr. David Fales' Survey, 1768 as copied by E. W. Maxcy, from the Harkness tracing showing Numbered lots assigned at Incorporation [labeled "3"] and Camden Extension 1791 traced by E. W. Maxcy courtesy of J. L. Knight [labeled "5"]" Ink on mylar. NOTE: This map actually incorporates David Fales' survey of Leverett's Point (now called Jameson's Point), Lots 1-5. It also includes Fales' survey of most of 'lower Camden, lots 1-75. Not mentioned in the legend on the map are the lots surveyed for Charles Barrett (under contract with the Twenty Associate),s by Noah Miller in upper Camden, and numbered 1 and 7 to 95. These lots may be readily recognized by their skew toward the north due to Miller's misreading of the compass. The Barrett/Miller lots comprise a substantial portion of the Town. The Camden Extension is land formerly of Canaan Plantation added to the original Twenty Associates' land in 1791 from land once part of the Knox/Waldo lands.
