1907 edition of "Her Brother's Letters," published in London by E. Grant Richards. Author is listed given as Anonymous, but was actually Edward William Bok, editor of "The Ladies Home Journal" (1889-1919). The letters were originally published serially in the magazine.
This copy is inscribed by Bok:
"Very few persons know that these 'letters' were written by me. They were originally published in the Ladies' Home Journal and met with considerable success. They were then put into book form by Moffat, Yard & Company--this is the English edition--Not aware of the identity of the author, Rudyard Kipling recommended the writer of this book to me as one who understood, in a peculiar sense, the American character!
