Scope and Content

Four color prints created by Thomas Parker of Camden, Maine, in 1959 and 1965. All four are part of a series devoted to the dress and arms, homes, public buildings, forts, and transportation of early Americans. The prints include Samuel de Champlain, 1609; Captain John Smith 1607-15; Officer, 60th Foot (Royal-American Regiment), 1756-60; Private, 42nd-Royal Highland Regt. of Foot (the Black Watch), 1759.
