Descriptions of shipwrecks, storms, world voyages, the men who built the vessels and those who provided the financial means to build them. Separate chapters provide photographs and details of vessels built in the Cobb Family Shipyard and the Snow Family yards. The appendix includes listings of documented Rockland built vessels organized alphabetically, by launch date, by gross tonnage and by building firm. Shipyard sites are also listed chronologically and multiple launchings along the Rockland shoreline are recorded. An index is included.
