Quit claim deed for parcel of property in Camden, Maine known as Fales' Survey, including approximately 100 acres. From Joseph Peirce of Boston to William Gregory, Jr. and John Gregory. Signed by Joseph Peirce, Benjamin Fray, Abel Moore, and Joseph Greenleaf, Justice of the Peace.
"Know all men by these presents, that I, Joseph Peirce of Boston in the County of Suffolk and Commonwealth of Massachusetts, shopkeeper, in consideration of sixty-two dollars and fifty cents to me in hand paid by William Gregory, Jr. gentleman & John Gregory yeoman both of Cambden in the County of Lincoln and Commonwealth aforesaid, the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge - Do hereby sell, remise, release and quitclaim unto the said William Gregory, Jr. and John Gregory their heirs and assigns forever, all my right, title, claim, interest, and demand, in and unto one undivided quarter part of a certain lot or parcel of land lying in Cambden aforesaid, and in that part thereof called Fales's Survey, which lot contains one hundred acres more or less and is numbered three on the plan in the Sea Shore range so called, and is bounded as follows, viz.
Southwesterly on lot numbered two, northwesterly partly on Madumbettick Pond and partly on lot numbered thirty-four, northeasterly on lot numbered four - and southeasterly on lot numbered four on Leveret's Neck; - together with all the rights and privileges to the same belonging.
To have and to hold the same, to him the said William Gregory Jr. & John Gregory, their heirs and assigns forever, & I the said Joseph Peirce for myself , my heirs, executors & administrators, do covenant with the said Wililam Gregory Jr. & John Gregory, their heirs and assigns, that the premises are free from any incumbrances made by me, and that I will warrant and defend the same against the lawful claims of the propriety called the Twenty Associates & of all persons claiming from, by or under me or my heirs.
In witness whereof, I, the said Joseph Peirce have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty-second day of February A.D. one thousand seven hundred and ninety-nine."
