Photocopy of document signed by citizens of Camden in support of the testimonial of Captain Hosea Bates of Camden, Maine and his sketch of Penobscot Bay. His testimonial was given in support of the December 1832 petition to the U.S. Congress by the citizens of Camden requesting a lighthouse at Negro Island. The original document is housed at the National Archives.
